Long-term engagement for international awareness in key source markets to ensure when borders reopened that business returned and the hotel was the “go-to” for luxury travellers.
THE STRATEGY
Focus on achieving international recognition, starting with awards and A-List luxury travel media in strategic inbound travel markets as borders reopened. The expansion of the property was a big storyline, led by Bill Bensley, so we had the chance to retell the resort origin story and build a deeper, more meaningful sustainability story based on conservation.
THE OUTCOME
Multi-award-winning hotel, maintaining its presence and growing its prestige in the market. Notable wins included the Travel + Leisure global award for the Best Resort in Vietnam. Press trips from Singapore and international press based in Thailand all produced strong results with minimum additional costs (flights, meals etc.)
